COURSE 2 One-day laser procienfy certification course (with patient’s hands-on)
CREDIT VALUE 6ADA CERP Credits + Fellowship in Laser Dentistry (Canada)

Course I: Online Basic Diode Course from ADA (American Dental Association)

Course Description:

This Introduction to Basic Laser Science will encompass scientific principles and a wide range of clinical applications. This program covers all of the soft tissue spatial dynamics necessary in the utilizing Diode technologies. A thorough knowledge of the hemostatic and activated tip dynamics for surgical use of diodes is presented in great depth.

Course Format(s):

This course will be an Online Basic Diode Course (LASER PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATION) by the American Dental Association (ADA) with 6 ADA CERP credits of ADA by Dr. Robert Levine (DDS). Doctors have to complete it at their convenience.

Course II: One- Day Laser Proficiency Certification Course (with Patient’s Hands-On)

Course Description:

All the modules will be carried out in INDIA as a One Day Laser Proficiency Certification Course along with patients hands on.

*Submission of 6 cases with complete case history, treatment plan, treatment done with well Documented photograph of pre & post operative (At least 4 Surgical procedures).

Course Learning Outcomes:

This course will be an Online Basic Diode Course (LASER PROFICIENCY CERTIFICATION) by the American Dental Association (ADA) with 6 ADA CERP credits of ADA by Dr. Robert Levine (DDS). Doctors have to complete it at their convenience.

All the doctors will learn hands-on laser training

 

Modules of Study

Module I

Laser introduction and History, Laser Components (Now we will Build Laser), Different types of Lasers in Dentistry, Production of laser photonic energy, Relationship of laser emission to ‘ordinary’ light, Emission modes, Laser wavelengths in dentistry: an overview of their applications and laser-tissue interaction, Practical session: laser soft-issue hands-on Non Surgical Procedures & pain Therapy.

Module II:

Photo bio Stimulation (low level laser therapy): understanding the mechanism Low-level laser therapy applications in dentistry.

  • Laser use in oral soft-tissue management
  • Laser wavelengths and consideration of optimal power parameters relative to absorption phenomena in oral soft tissue
  • Laser use in the management of non-keratinised or ‘loose’ soft tissue structures – lining mucosa, frenula, ventral tongue
  • Laser in implantology and role of laser-assisted therapy in the management of peri-implantitis
  • Laser use in periodontology: an overview of surgical and non-surgical applications
  • Applications of photodynamic therapy in dentistry

Module III

  • The scope of laser applications in oral Lesions
  • Laser applications in oral surgery: an overview
  • Laser applications of Diode Laser in endodontics
  • Clinical case presentations for laser users (participants’ cases)
  • Practical session: laser soft-tissue hands-on Surgical and non-surgical Procedures
  • Integration of lasers into dental practice -clinical and marketing aspects

Assignment and Weighting

  • Multiple-choice examination & assignments
  • 5 Patients with complete case history (Pre-operative, intra-operative and post operative photographs) with laser dental treatment to be submitted
  • Candidates should be a registered dental practitioner.
